IN 2007, The Benchmarx and Rock for the Environment supported the Malaysian Sea Turtle. We raised over RM 7,000 in the one day festival. Below is the press release that supported the event.

ROCKIN' FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
Turtle Rock Conservation and Fundraising Concert at the International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL)
Date of Event: November 25, 2006
Time of Event: 12p.m. – 2p.m. (ISKL Campus)
8p.m. – 12 a.m. (Melia Hotel, KL)
Overview: Two events on the same day are designed to raise funds and awareness for turtle research and conservation in Malaysia. The afternoon carnival held at ISKL Ampang campus is designed for kids and families and will include food, games, art, crafts and educational presentations about turtles. The evening concert held at the Nu Skool club in the Melia Hotel will feature music by the Benchmarx.
All proceeds will be donated to the Centre for Turtle Research and Conservation (CTReC)- formerly known as SEATRU (Sea Turtle Research Unit)
